I never thought that I would find myself living this way, everything I feel is empty
And every single day I awake and fail to realize

On the hunt for a substance

I awake once again
On the hunt, the prowl
For a reason, for a motive to push on but I am hopeless


I've been looking for something to make the numbness stop
When I find it, so begins the search for something to numb me again
Been looking for something to make my heartbeat stop
Once I find it I'll be gasping and grasping for whatever can make me feel alive again and forget the way that I resent

I hate the feeling of my heart beating faster when I say things like this

I guess I'm just a little bit unstable

The bad place is anywhere you can be found
When you're alone, where you lay down
I used to find escape in sleep
Now there's no escaping this grief that follows me

Happiness is a myth, it does not exist
A notion described in stories told to us as kids and as I grow older I cannot seem to believe in it


The grass is dead here, it hasn't shown color since the night that I arrived
The grass is dead here in the bad place.
